THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST

A Pittsburg Theatre Company Production

Oscar Wilde's "The Importance of Being Earnest" is a satirical comedy that playfully critiques Victorian societal norms, particularly those surrounding marriage, identity, and the superficiality of the upper class. The play revolves around two gentlemen, Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff, who have both created fictional personas to escape the monotony of their lives.
